I continue to be delighted by how well my succulents grow in pots. During the heat of the summer, I moved many of my succulents into the dappled shade to give them some respite from the scorching temperatures of the mid-day sun. Pot-grown succulents do offer greater flexibility, especially when temperatures soar to the high thirties as they have on several occasions this year.

My six on Saturday this week is short on words as I’ve let the photographs speak for themselves. As you can see I love growing succulents and I have many happy plants!

I love succulents and they look so good in the terracotta pots. I wish mine were as big as yours!

I also love the terracotta pots but they are quite fragile. I don’t plant directly in the pots so the plants are easy to pot on,. Some of my succulents are matured… plus they grow quickly in this climate.

Yes, you definitely have the warmth that we are lacking in. Though can’t complain about this summer.

Fabulous seeing them growing in your warmer conditions. I’m trying to decide what winter protection to give mine this year. Trying to keep what I can outside in the mini greenhouses so they aren’t cluttering the house.

The night time temps here can go down to freezing but we don’t tend to get ground frost.. Maybe, if you could also add some fleece in cold weather

I love aeonians.
We have the Zwartkop variety and gave lots if them in pots around the pool.
