After yet another week of wet and windy weather and yet another night of listening to howling winds and rain beating against the window, I was of a mind when I woke this morning to snuggle back under the duvet and go back to sleep. Unfortunately, or fortunately, as it turned out, my bladder made the decision for me, and I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed … poked my head outside and looked at the sky.

The weather could go either way; flipped the coin and decided to live in the blue-sky, dreaming moment. Donned my gardening gear, took my Six on Saturday pics, and did some gardening. This week, I decided to share six succulents in flower.

The gardening included replanting part of the front rockery. Only two plants, but it is a start. I need to visit a garden centre.

Thanks to our gardening SOS host Jim.

It looks and sounds like you made the right call to get up and get outdoors, Carole. I have a new crown of thorns plant, compliments of our neighbours. We’ll see if I can keep this one alive. Other than that, I’m not familiar with the other succulents you mentioned and photographed. I’ll be looking for them once we’re ready to do more landscaping, so thank you for the ideas!

Gosh, thank you for sharing those colorful blooms. Your post is a lovely rainbow of beauty! There’s something about the Cotyledons that always has me fascinated and curious. I always imagine hummingbirds swooping in and around them, and poking their beaks and tongues inside for nectar. ❤

Beautiful sky – and plants of course, particularly the “pig’s ear.”
