Good morning on this HOT and sunny May Saturday. Is it hot enough for you? Nope, I am not going to moan about the searing heat of the Southerly winds that have dried out my plants. Who needs to go to the Gym when you are humping 5-6 litre bottles of water around the garden trying to rehydrate the plants, especially the droopy hydrangeas? Of all the weather, I hate the Southerly winds the most because there is no escape.
This week for Six on Saturday, I continue my theme of garden colour. I doubt the Gazanias, which have self-seeded in the gravel (brita), will survive much longer and will dry into crispy bird’s nests within the next week unless there is zillions of gallons of rain to rehydrate. While I’m not concerned about their demise, I will miss their random display of colour dotted around the garden.

Hi, we must be having weather and warmth similar to what you usually have, and it’s lovely here… So when I look at your nasturtiums and cannas in bloom, I’m not far from having the same thing in my garden!
Well done to your husband for pruning the orange tree. The result will be flowers next winter and spring 🤞
