Do you ever put things away in a safe place and then can’t remember where you’ve put them?
A few weeks ago, our family came to stay. The grandkids use my studio/office as a bedroom, so I cleared my desk and put everything away, neat and tidy, including all my Portuguese notes and homework. Two weeks later, I still can’t find them. I’ve cleared out and reorganised drawers and cupboards, but they are still nowhere to be found!
When Mr. Piglet reads this I already know what he is going to say: ‘You’d lose your head if it wasn’t screwed on.’
I could reprint all ten pages and start again, but I’d made copious handwritten notes during my last lesson. I know the moment I stop looking it will turn up. Gutted!
What have you put in a safe place and then lost?

I am guilty of doing this from time to time…

I am bordering on OCD so usually I do ok but I did lose my husband’s birthday cards a couple of years ago. We were going on a trip and I kept them “safe” for him to open there. Finally found them in the document area of my suitcase. Logical really!

Yep, that is a logical place. That’s what I did when I filed my portugues homework. Well, it seemed a logical place at the time. 🙂

Too many to mention these days. I used to be responsible and efficient 😂

Yep, so did I. I like Terry’s idea of taking a photo of where you put something.

Yes, I saw that and thought it was a good suggestion.

Ha! So many things. Where do they go?!

*laughing* probably the same place as the missing socks. I swear there must be a sock heaven somewhere. You put a pair in the washing machine but only one comes out.

OUR passports!!!! OMG — what a frigging panic as it was about 6 hours before the flight to B
England when we found them.

Wow, that was cutting it fine! I don’t trust myself with my passport. That is Mr. Piglet’s domain when we travel.

I do this often, and have been doing it for many years, Carole … and often times, those safe places are a tad bit “too” safe because the items stay hidden forever (or long enough to feel like forever) What I’ve started doing after my most recent safe place episode, is: once I put something in its safe place, I snap a pic of that place with my phone and in the notes section of the pic, I put what’s hidden there.

Hi Terry, what a brilliant idea to take a photograph. We do that when we go shopping and leave our car in a huge underground car park.
