Every Monday, Cathy at Rambling in the Garden invites us to share an arrangement of flowers or ‘whatever’ in a vase. I grow very few flowers I can cut in my garden as I mainly grow shrubs, succulents and vegetables, so please forgive my creative spirit.

I was looking for inspiration when I went to pick some carrots and kale. The vibrant colours are amazing, yes?

…and then had an ahHA! moment

Sadly, a couple of hours later, the arrangement, minus the caterpillar, was cooked and served with roast chicken for Sunday lunch.

Awesome idea. Tasty and so pretty.

I love this – as you say, the colours are wonderful, and your veg is so healthy looking. I would happily eat both of these raw, and without the roast chicken! Keep up the quirkiness 👍

(I think my comment just vanished, so here it is again.) I love that creativity! The kale leaves look fantastic in a vase. You could start a new craze! 😁

Hi Cathy I think the WP gremlins are playing tricks tonight. I experienced the same problem with another blog.
The purple Kale is such a wonderful colour and worked so well with the carrots.
