Weekend Coffee Share:

Yet another week has flown by at a gallop, and the English football season is now also in full swing. Mr P is so happy he is like a pig in clover as he follows his beloved Chelsea F.C…. me… I groan every time the dreaded F word is mentioned, but as it’s his passion, I put up and shut up, retreating to the garden or my craft room come office to escape the groans and cheers. Ho hum. Are you a footie fan? If not what is your preferred sport?

Chameleon Art Project: On Tuesday afternoon, I continued with the chameleon art project, using the dotter pen (used to create dots on fingernails) to create a slightly raised texture that gives the impression of scales. It was painstaking work, dipping the pen tip into a blob of paint before applying it to the canvas.

I loved the result and was really happy with my picture until I got home and held it up for Mr Piglet, who pulled a polite face.

I stood back and looked at the picture. Hmmmm with no outline, the chameleon stripes looked like a fish skeleton. I made some adjustments, and I think this looks a lot better. Thoughts?

I have since added an outline colour in purple and defined the flowers in bright pink.

Don’t worry I am not precious about feedback

I now just have to give him some feet!

Hair and Highlights: This week I decided to take the plunge and instead of colouring my hair at home with just one colour, which normally results in the roots growing through in a couple of weeks with an obvious highway I decided to have subtle high and lowlights. I let the hairdresser choose. Nothing too dramatic, I said looking around the salon to check out if anyone had rainbow-coloured spiky hair. Nope, all good. I breathed a sigh of relief.

New Watch: The battery on my Fitbit finally died, so I had the excuse to buy a new watch My simple Fitbit cost over 120 euros when it was new, so you can imagine my delight when I found exactly what I wanted (Samsung Fit 3 AIBO) for a third of the price! PLUS the face of the watch was bigger so I could actually see it!

I was impressed by one feature on my new watch: SOS, which notifies selected contacts if I have a hard fall. GREAT! No. Not really. My watch sent out a notification text while I was enjoying my siesta, and our daughter in France immediately responded, ringing Mr P to make sure I was okay. Which I was… I asked my AI assistant to check, and apparently this is a fault, and other users have experienced a false notification.

That’s it for me this week. What about you?

My thanks to Natalie for hosting the Weekend Coffee Share
