I would like to present myself and the Association Bianca, a shelter that protect 250 dogs and 40 cats. The Association Bianca was born in 2002 is today, thanks to the hard work of dedicated staff and volunteer-based, a strong and dynamic Organization , committed in their projects, whose results can be seen year after year. All who work, volunteer and board, are highly motivated and committed. We have now 9 years experience. Our work is unfortunately, most the time, at the expense of our families as much of our time and personal lives spent at work for the animals.
In 2010 achieved the title of Public Utility, Status which means we provide a very useful service to the community where we operate. This title has been achieved three years after the termination requested because only proven, including the writing recognition of the Town Hall about the importance of Bianca for the entire Municipality of Sesimbra, and demonstration of all annual reports and accounts of Bianca, it was possible the Minister approve the assignment of this noble title. It was a great victory.
Our main aim is to restore abandoned and mistreated animals from the huge county of Sesimbra and direct them to an adoption that guarantees their welfare. All weeks are left Bianca in an average of 50 new animals, so every year 600 animals are saved by us.
Bianca is used to find home abroad for the abandoned and mistreated animals. We hope this way you can help find support for our dogs. Ana Duarte, President of the board
